Title: Chief Technology Officer


Tracye Faulkner Stormer is the Town of Bluffton’s chief technology officer.

Stormer is responsible for the Town’s entire information technology (IT) department and supervising the products, platforms, and processes to keep the Town’s technology infrastructure, storage capacity, and functions running smoothly according to the needs of each department.

A lifelong Beaufort County resident and a product of Beaufort County public schools, Stormer was formerly the IT manager for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, director of technology for Jasper County School District, and an IT area support supervisor in Beaufort County School District.

Stormer earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Bennett College in Greensboro, North Carolina. She also earned a master’s degree in computer science from Atlanta University, now known as Clark Atlanta University. Stormer has earned several standard IT certifications, including CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+.

An active member of Wesley United Methodist Church and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Stormer is the birth mother of three children, with many inherited children by grace.
