Reminder: Fireworks are prohibited in the Town of Bluffton

As a reminder, Bluffton police officers will respond to any complaint of fireworks in the town limits and confiscate them.

Bluffton ordinance, Sec. 14-99, states it is unlawful for anyone to fire, shoot, discharge, offer for sale, store, exchange, give away or possess any fireworks in Town limits.

Additionally, the only annual firework display in the Town of Bluffton is during the Historic Bluffton Arts and Seafood Festival in October. In past years, a group of business owners funded a display however, at this time, there are no permits for a private firework show on the May River.

Best wishes for a safe and enjoyable celebration of 4th of July.
