The Mayor’s Bluffton Youth Community Service Award Program, created in 2015, recognizes Bluffton students for volunteering at least 50 hours to an area non-profit organization.
The Mayor’s Bluffton Youth Community Service Award Program provides high school sophomores and juniors recognition for their volunteerism in the greater Bluffton community. The program is open to all high school sophomores and juniors attending public, private or home school in Bluffton. Volunteer hours must be earned between May 1 and April 30 of each calendar year.
The three level of recognition is as follows:
- Silver Award: 50 hours of volunteer service
- Gold Award: 51-99 hours of volunteer service
- Mayor’s Exceptional Service Award: 100 or more hours of volunteer service
The Mayor will recognize students in May who participated in this program and achieved 50 or more hours.
Each student’s volunteer tracking form is due to the Mayor’s Office no later than April 30. Please send tracking forms to the student’s school representative of the program and that representative will forward the forms to Town Hall. For home schoolers, please submit you forms directly to Town Clerk Kim Chapman. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Kim Chapman at firstname.lastname@example.org or (office) 706-4505.
