NOTICE: Dominion Energy tree trimming efforts continue week of March 1, 2021 on Calhoun Street

Old Town Bluffton Historic District Parking Map

Dominion Energy will continue its tree trimming efforts the week of March 1, 2021 on Calhoun Street. Tree trimming will occur Monday – Thursday from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. Access to businesses and homes will remain open, however on-street parking may be limited during the tree trimming hours. Please see the attached map of available parking in the Old Town Bluffton Historic District for your use.

Please avoid work zones as falling limbs and equipment may pose danger to pedestrians and travelers. Thank you for your patience.

BACKGROUND:

Since December of 2020, Dominion Energy has been trimming trees that are close to their power lines. This process is necessary to help prevent the loss of power caused by downed trees and wayward limbs during severe weather. This periodic trimming happens usually every four to five years, depending upon the utility company. To learn more, visit:townofbluffton.sc.gov.
