The Town of Bluffton is collecting toys again to give to Bluffton children who otherwise may not have gifts this holiday season.
Items can be dropped off at the Bluffton Police Department, 101 Progressive Street, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A box will be located outside the department’s front door for the items to be dropped in.
In past years, items collected ranged from toys, clothing, footballs, soccer balls, skateboards, and makeup. Most items are usually geared towards the younger ages, but we encourage those donating to also look for gifts for the children 9 years old and up.
“Many families are finding themselves in a financial situation they haven’t faced before due to COVID-19. We look forward, as we have for the last seven years, to collect toys and other items that will go to Bluffton families,” said Bluffton Police Chief Stephenie Price.
All items donated through this Toy Drive will be given to Bluffton Self Help where families can choose gifts for their loved ones in the Holiday Toy Shop. For more information about the Holiday Toy Shop go to the Bluffton Self Help website.
