The department partners with the United States Coast Guard Auxilary to provide free boat inspections, collect old boat flares, and most importantly educate the public about water safety. Public safety vehicles, such as police cars and fire trucks, will be on display, and boat safety inspections and numerous informational packets will be available.
In 2022, the following organizations and businesses joined the expo Bluffton Police Department, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Beaufort County EMS, Beaufort Amateur Group, South Carolina Emergency Management Division, Bluffton Township Fire District, Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Division, South Carolina Department of Mental Health, South Carolina Department of Insurance, Fetch-A-Vet, & CPM Federal Credit Union. These businesses and organizations help ensure the public are informed about how to stay safe during weather events.
