Fred Hamilton has been a member of Town Council since 2005 when he was elected to complete the term of his late cousin, Oscar Frazier. He has been in elected office ever since with the exception of a two-year hiatus. An Army veteran, Hamilton has been instrumental in building and enhancing athletic facilities for Bluffton, including Eagles’ Field and the Goethe Road covered basketball courts. As chairman of the Town’s Affordable Housing Committee, he also helped spearhead the Wharf Street Redevelopment Project and considers housing for the region’s workforce a priority issue.
