Capital Improvement Program

Capital Improvement Program Mission:  

To enhance the overall quality of life in the Town of Bluffton by improving the physical structures, systems and facilities that provide services to the community.

  • The CIP is a working blueprint to establish the financing, location, and timing of infrastructure projects over several years.
  • The CIP is updated annually to reflect changing community needs, priorities, growth patterns, and funding opportunities to ensure infrastructure is implemented to advance the community strategic and long-term goals and objectives.

  • Information Technology Infrastructure


Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term CIP projects list, scope, and budgets.
  • Develop annual project schedules and program for development for each project.
  • Coordinate and direct project planning, design development, and construction documents
  • Permit projects through applicable regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and obtain easements necessary for project development.
  • Prepare and coordinate project bidding and procurement.
  • Provide or coordinate construction administration and inspections.
  • Close out project with agencies and plan for long term operations and maintenance.
