The mission of the Office of Building Safety is to provide the highest quality customer service to the public and to the building community, while protecting the health and safety of the community, through effective enforcement of adopted construction codes and technical standards.
Office of Community Development
The Office of Community Development is dedicated to making the Town of Bluffton and its neighborhoods a better place to live, work and play. It is through this Department that the Town works diligently to improve the quality of life for all its residents through actions promoting the development of affordable housing, a cleaner environment, access to human service programs, greater economic opportunities and the encouragement of citizens within their neighborhood.
Office of Planning Environmental Sustainability
The Office of Planning and Environmental Sustainability is in the Town's Growth Management Department. This office is responsible for administering the policies, programs and regulations that manage the development of the Bluffton community and ensures the sound management of Bluffton's growth and protection of its quality of life and economic vitality through comprehensive and long-range planning.
